what I do
where I've been
where I'll go
I am an active composer, conductor, and educator in the Denver Metro area. I studied at Metropolitan State University of Denver, obtaining a Bachelors of Music Education and a Bachelors in Music with a Concentration in Composition.
I compose for a wide variety, including chamber ensembles, choirs, and solo instruments, with an interest in creative approaches to instrumentation and structure. My compositions and arrangements have been featured by the MSU Denver Chorale, MSU Denver student ensembles, church ensembles, and nonprofit organizations.
As an educator, I aim to encourage students’ unique voices through musical expression and excellence in the technical aspects of performing, analyzing, and composing, alongside facilitating discussions about music’s communal implications, with the hope that my students and those within their communities will come to recognize how music unites us.
As an artist and educator, I passionately encourage others to share their stories and find a shared humanity with those around them. I believe that when individuals learn to uncover and listen to each other’s unique perspectives and ideas, we will find a common humanity, leading to less division in our world. As an active musician and community member, I currently engage with several organizations and groups across the front range, including Evergreen Middle School, Evergreen High School, the Evergreen Children's Chorale, Voices Rock, Scripture in Motion, and the Colorado Chorale.
